I have previously put together a couple of Hawaiian Group Buys that went fairly well. Some of you may also recall the problems we had from an LFS with our Diver. I have found a new source in Honolulu for fish and inverts. This is not a single diver, but a well established wholesale business. They are willing to ship to us as long as we meet the minimum $500 order amount. Fish will arrive air freight, at DIA. There is a live arrival guarantee, losses must be reported within 24 hours. Credit will be applied to future orders.
Things to keep in mind:
- This is a wholesale transaction with wholesale pricing
- Payment will be coordinated through me directly to the supplier
- These animals should be quarantined prior to introduction to your aquarium
- They have been medicated and treated at the holding facility, but you should not rely on this to protect your existing stock
- Proper drip acclimation procedures are required for the success of these animals
Group Buy Rules:
- The vendor name will remain confidential to prevent problems
- Pricing will not be posted in this thread
- To obtain pricing, you must PM me your e-mail address, I will send you a spreadsheet
- Your order must be pre-paid, you can use Paypal or drop off a check
- Pickup will either be at DIA or at my home
- Air freight, box charges, heat packs will be divided evenly among all who order
- This is wholesale deal, I am not adding a percentage for coordinating the buy
- If you use Paypal, you will need to add the 3% fee to your payment
Order dates and other musings:
- I'm hoping for an order and delivery the 1st week of December
- If we have 20 flame wrasses ordered and only 12 show up, priority goes to the person who ordered first.
- Unfulfilled orders will be promptly refunded
- Delivery charges will be due on pickup
- Please list your order in this thread, but DO NOT post pricing please.
