Hawaiian Red Reef Lobster - Free to good home

I've had this guy for about six months and he is very healthy. Molts about every other month, so is getting quite large for my 34g tank. Does not bother any corals at all.

He is an awesome scavenger addition to any tank that does NOT have shrimp. He will kill shrimp. But he does not harm snails, hermits, or stars. Maybe an old or slow fish. But my tank has clowns and two small Wrasses, and they are ok. He eats pellet food and of course frozen shrimp.

Very beautiful addition to a reef tank. You can read more about him here: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=16&aid=2134

And a picture of what they look like:

I was going to return him for credit, but since I have received so much help, corals, and advice from MARS members, I figured I donate him to a good home.

The first person who responds may not be the person who I give this lobster to. Priority goes to those who have helped me in the past, then paid MARS members, then everyone else.

As soon as I get a taker, I will capture him.

I may have a couple of shrimp that are getting on my nerves that I may want to donate to your lobsters belly :)

I will take MR. LOBSTER if you don't find someone who has helped you in the past... He will have a good home with me. I have never had a lobster but I love all my crabs and I am sure he will fit in well.

A few people PM'ed about my little lobster, but I just captured him after trying for four days. The first person that calls and comes over to get him is the new owner.

This is a smart lobster! Sucker snuck around the back of my hand and clamped on me when I was looking at the front of my trap.

I'll take it. If you can, you can hold him for me for a month or so. That's when my 180 gallon tank is going to be ready for livestock.

Sorry, but I cant hold him. I just captured the little grabber and need to find him a new home now.
Hmmm... you think it will be fine in a 8 gallon biocube for a month or so? How big is it? Are they clam safe? Like Maximas, gigas, and derasa clams and such?

I dont have any idea if they are clam safe since I do not have any clams. If they are valuable, I would not chance it though.

He is a very sad lobster right now inside a perferrated plastic container in my tank.

I have him with me at work, which is at highway 50 and Watt Ave. I have school tonight until 9pm. You are free to come and get him anytime today if you can.

Pinkcbr95, I just read your PM, and I leave for work at 4 to CSUS. Maybe at lunch time?

Either way, the first person who can meet me at my work (50 and Watt off American River Dr.) will be the proud owner of this lobster.

I dont know how long he can survive in the container I have him is the problem. If nobody can pick him up by 1:30, Im just going to trade him into Aqua Works for credit.

Sorry to be a pain, but its for the lobsters well being that things are a bit rushed. I dont have a qt tank at home, and he has already been in this little plastic container for 12hrs. (He was in my tank all night though, inside his perferrated plastic container.)

Anyone can call me at 916-501-4587 to arrange pick-up.

Steve

The lobster has a new home. Sorry to those others who wanted him, but he needed to be in a tank ASAP for his well being.

 to Steve!
