Hawaiian Z's & P's

I have tried unsuccessfully to keep Hawaiian z's and p's. They were being kept on the sandbed, but in the span of 2-4 weeks they bleach, then shrink (but are still partially open), then melt away. All my other z's & p's are doing fine. Are Hawaiian z's & p's more delicate? What am I doing wrong? My tank parameters are:
Temp: 78-80
Salinity: 1.023
Nitrate and trites: 0
Phosphates: 0
Calcium: 420
dKH: 8
PH: 8.3
Mg: 1250
Ammonia: 0

Your help is greatly appreciated.

There are plenty commonly known zoas from Hawaii

Ding dang pe
Sticky punch
TRPE
TGPE
Kiwi krush
Mean green
Kryptonites

And many other non-mainsream zoas.

Salinity: 1.023 to low should be 1.025 to 1.026
dKH: 8 a little low IMO should be 9 to 11
good luck

dKH is 9 sorry that's a typo. I'm trying to get some clear pics, but my point and shoot camera wants to focus on the background.

Most P&Ss today have macro. Look for the little picture of a flower. That will be your macro mode.

It's not the best picture but you can see what I'm talking about. These are Hawaiian TRPE's.

If you got them on the sandbed and they do what you describe, why don't you give the more light?

Move them higher... What PAR are you seeing at the bed?
