Hawks and Carpets (Anemones)

So... has anyone been able to keep carpet anemones with Long Nosed Hawkfishes (or other hawks) for that matter? I'd like to see if I can get a pair but I worry it might not be the best decision based on their habit of perching on random objects in the aquarium. So... bad idea or baddest idea?

Thanks in advance!

They should be aware of the danger of carpet anemones as the Caribbean carpet anemone Stichodactyla helianthus is one of the worst fish killers.
I would give it a try, especially if the carpet has a resident clownfish pair that keeps other fish away from their home.

I have kept a Longnose hawk with a Haddoni and bubble tips for years with no problems. My clowns host the bubble tips not the carpet and still doesn't get close enough to have an issue. I was worried also because my hawk fish perches inside my big green leather and they look similar, but remember there is always a risk with carpet nems but no issues from my experience with that fish

My anemone ate my scooter and hawkfish it was a long tentacle not sure on the exact species

Kept a Haddon's carpet for about a year; mags for over 20. Former ate more fish in that one year than the latter did in the 20. I don't think gigs are as bad, though no direct experience. I'd not keep carpets with fish I would be really bummed to lose.
