head loss calc.

I know I don't frequent RC as much as most do and when I am I tend to be here. So I might have missed something. Could someone fill me in on what happened to the head loss calc on the main page? It hasn't worked for over a week. You can put in all info except the pump type....kinda pertinent information! Does anyone know of an alternative somewhere?

I am looking to set up a sump in the basement and will need to know head loss to figure out wha pump I will be purchasing.

pretty sure its still there on the home page as i have run across it in the past month .also you could just google it and you will find it there .

Variances from ideal to actual headloss due to valves and joints are probably going to be insignificant compared to the errors or mistruths in the published pump curves for the pump you desire to use, so try to find good data on real world volumetric flow rate at high discharge pressures.
