Headed to Phoenix this Weekend

I'm headed to Phoenix this weekend to catch Motley Crue. While up there I was thinking about checking out a LFS or two. Any suggestions?

Thank Keith, I appreciate it. Hopefully we can stick around until noon on Sunday to catch the store. With the 3 hour drive back to Sierra Vista, we may miss the opportunity.

Agreed it's a shame none of the stores open sooner than 12 on Sunday's :/ hopefully soon we will get our location finalized and will have a store in San tan valley closer to you guys

We ended up catching three stores:

Aquarium Arts - Older store with a descent mixed bag of everything. What really stood out was the customer service and staff. Excellent! Not only knowledgeable but friendly. Good selection of fish and some more "unique" coral.

Coral Reef Imports - Small store but nice selection of coral. Lights were really set to "pop" everything (Royal Blue insanity). Sales associate opened the store late, so we didn't stick around too long.

The Reef Monsters - Very nice store and modern. Prices were a little high. Unique stock but once again, everything other than the fish were "blued out" with lighting. We felt really sorry for a female mantis who was being kept in a jar. Yeah, we know, they will kill and eat everything, but since they had numerous single-celled aquariums for livestock, put her in her own.

It was a great weekend trip! Motley was absolutely incredible and we ended up with a Harbor Goby that has already created a symbiotic relationship with a pistol shrimp, bought a nice pectinia coral, and a beautiful pink with purple tips pocillopora. No regrets whatsoever!

You ever checked out sales from will at Aquasd?

All the time. The problem now is they are every weekend almost. We've picked up a few nice pieces from AquaSD and have always been happy with the quality.

Agreed on consistent sales and name changing pieces for same coral on a lot but I had a chance to cruise by his store few times has a good thing going.. Just asked as he has some unique pieces at times and not a lot familiar with his store believe or not
