So the trip was long but awesome. I have pictures that I will have to share when I get them transferred.
Parts if the your were quite awesome and I think we got lucky with the timing of the tour (started at 1:00). We went to the large tank where they were feeding the whale sharks. This tank was HUGE. Looked to be the size of a football field and very clear water. You can see the large sawfish shark sitting at the bottom of the tank. The whale sharks continued to make circles through the tank, passing us every few minutes. A beast of a fish.
The your guide seemed to know more about stuff that she was interested in, or had more experience with. She did not know much about the maintenance and types of systems used for running everything. I'm guessing not too many people ask questions about that and they usually ask questions about the fish. I was able to see some cool things they do with fragging, like hang frags (sps) on line from a hanger to see which side grows more before they add them to the tank. I actually enjoyed the area where they take kids for camp. It also helped keep my 19 month old in check.
That brings me to another point. I called to make the reservation and buy the tickets for the tour, asked if children under two would be free, and then meet the your guide who says that if she acts up we might be kicked off the tour. In addition you are not allowed to take a stroller and there are areas where I had to carry her. Both understandable but it would had been nice to know when I purchased the tickets by phone. Maybe that will help someone else before they buy their tickets.
