Just bought 2 today. $10 each plus tax. Cash only. They were used to hold flavoring for the beverages. Mine have a lovely cherry sent to them. I plan on rinsing them out with bleach and water and then de-chlor. They are food grade. The lids are sealed with two screw off "bungs" on top. Easily cut. He has about 15 or so left.

I may be mistaken however I would be careful with used poly drums for anything reef associated. Typically poly drums are used to hold corrosive/caustic materials. One of my companies clients is a major beverage distributor and the "flavorings" they have in those drums is some pretty nasty stuff that the EPA certainly does not like being spilled out in the event of an accident. Maybe I am just being paranoid though.

Maybe not. I scanned some of the technical data on cherry flavoring. Maybe it's a good thing my barrel got a split after three or four years and I had to toss it out.

I called them and they didn't have any of the opaque white ones that I was after. He said they white one usually have caramel flovoring in them. Those usually pop up after 99 blue ones :(
