Can you post pictures of your BTAs? I have had one for about a month and want to make sure it is healthy. The tentacles never form the "bubbles", but I think it is since I only have 208W of T-5 over my 75 gallon.

Everything I read, and from personal exp, the BTA is not an intense light dependant anemone. That does not mean it can live in the dark, mind you, but that it can thrive in less light than some other anemones, like H. magnifica, for instance. The key is feeding. Feed it and it will do well.
The bubble tips are not always expanded, and from the best info I can get, on some, may not expand at all.
Here are some things to look for
Color: Is it pale or bleached? Anemones are not often white or clear if they are healthy. They can be brown, green, red, etc.
Another indication is the mouth. A gaping mouth for an extended period of time can be a sign of stress, as can shriveled tentacles. Tomorrow we hit the 2 week mark with ours and I still haven't seen it's mouth! I've been going by tentacles and if it's doing the things it should (like expanding when the lights come on, reacting to touch, eating, etc...)
You're welcome to post a picture of yours too and get feed back, that might help you feel better
Roklem, I also have a BTA with that exact coloration! He's beautiful IMO, I took him in, he was knocking on deaths door at the time, it took a while before I could see what his true colors were, but really responded well, and is doing incredible.
