Is it ok to put heater in sump and what camber would I put it in thanks

Yes. Put it anywhere that has constant flow.
If you have to power your tank during an outage you might need to move it into the tank temporarily.

Most people keep them in the sump just for aesthetic reasons.

I use submersible heaters and throw them along the bottom where they will fit.
