Im having trouble regulating my heater, so i guess its time to buy a new one. I have a 58 gal. oceanic. Lookig for suggestions for wattage and make. It seems like the ones i have been buying dont seem to last a year before the thermostats get screwed up. Thanks...

I like the Finnex titanium heaters that I have. I recently bought one of their new ones with the digital controller. I'd recommend a 200w Finnex with a digital controller from Premiun Aqautics for your tank.

Go with 2 smaller instead of 1 larger. That way, if it sticks, it won't fry your tank.

I've always used the Marineland Submersable heaters. I've had the same 300 watt in my 55g planted tank for over 4 years now with no problems. I've never had a problem with any heaters from them, and they are a good price too.

As long as it's titanium. Anything but glass. I've broken at least a dozen glass ones. I have a finnex one as well. I did have to return the first one as it developed a bubble on it and quit working but the replacement has been good for 1 1/2 years.

I agree about the Titanium heaters I have a Won Pro Heat Titanium heater that works great.
