Heater

I just bought a 90 gallon tank and will have a 20 gallon sump. I was interested in getting a visi therm stealth heater. Would a 250 watt heater be enough or should I get 2 150 watt heaters?

It's always good to have redundancy. My vote would be for the 2 150s. I like the Stealth heater, that's what I use too.

says on the box that the 250w model will only heat 75g, so 1 of them will definately not do. Like drummer said, better to have 2

Plus, if you do 2 lower wattage heaters, if one of them were to get stuck, then the other one would not assist in boiling your tank..

I vote for two 150watters

That way if one goes t/u, you can still have some heat while you get another. Plus it'll be more temperature stable since you'll have heaters in two different parts of the tank.

We are talking about 90 G + 20 G so 110 G total. I would say 2 250 W or atleast 1 150 and 1 250 W

If I went with two heaters would I put both of them in the sump?

yep. Maybe different ends if you wanted...but i probably wouldnt even do that.
