Heating units- how often to you clean or replace

Just wondering how often you clean or replace?
I have this unit. It talks about soaking the unit in vinegar dilution but how often? Also should you just replace the entire unit every other year?

Clean? What’s that lol.

I’d soak in vinegar when/if calcium or other gunk builds up on it. I don’t replace mine until they fail or I notice a worn cord, etc.

Honestly, I have never cleaned a heater before. They have never got dirty enough.

I hate using heaters unless absolutely needed. Have had several issue's thru the years. Always recommend using a grounding probe.

As far as replacement time frame, I personally do not have a specific amount of time. I periodically check for any issue and replace if I feel its needed. They are cheap enough to replace.

My heaters are years or even decades old. I replace them when they croak.
