Height for T5 retrofit over tank?

Hi all, quick question. How high above an acrylic tank should T5 bulbs be with reflecters? thanks

Hey, my bud said no on the tang. he said he was gonna wait and let his tank cycle for a month or so. Ill keep my ear out though!
