Just was looking of this site about filters and skimmers and anything new in the salt water world since I left the salt water setup a few years back. Just to fill those new people i nevermet here is my story. We had a bad ice storm a few years ago and my house was out of power for 5 days, I had my 75g FOWLR set up to run on a UPS /DIY to a car battery, Well the lights was off to save energy and the heater was used to try to keep the temp near 65-70 wraped the tank in blankets, to make the story short my whole tank did not make it so the 500-600 invested into my own little window into the sea was shot, i sold most if not all my salt water stuff here on this site and CL. I have been doing FW and planted tanks. I currently have a 15g biocube and a 15g tall but i picked up a 55g so I am thinking about going back into salt water I have not made up my mind yet because not much support down here in SW okla LPS here either dont carry a good selection or dont have a clue. Thats what I think would hold me back the most...to think of it i guess thats the same issue with living in a land locked state huh. I am big into DIY so i will be building a stand and maybe a filter and light setup. So to wrap it all up greeting reef central again from lawton, OK
