Hello Wine Country Folks

Hello all I've been lurking your forum for a while and thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I lived up there in RP for the better part of my life and hope to be up that way again in a couple years(currently living down in Blythe, CA). Most of my family is spread out from RP to fairfax and I try to make it up there a couple times a year to visit.

I have been in to African cichlids for about 8 years now. I currently have a 180g Malawi community tank, 55g fry tank, and recently sold my 100g grow out tank to make room for a 180g reef. While keeping aquariums is definitely not new to me, reefing is.

I worked at a LFS out this way for a couple of years, I've cleaned/maintained tanks, acclimated fish, etc. I just have not constructed an entire system before, created a stock list, or fine tuned equipment.

I'm currently building up my 180g(I'll post a build thread soon) and could use the advice of some experienced reefers. Hopefully on my next visit up that way I can get a chance to check out some of your tanks.
