Help, 6105x2 or 6215 +6105 to start?

Hi,

I was wonder what you would recommend I start with. I plan to eventually have 6105 x2 and a 6215 wavebox on my system but I am not sure what to get initially.

My tank is a 250 gal. 60" L x 36" W x 27" H and will be a mixed reef, currently it is empty but that should change soon. As the topic says I am not sure what to get first. Should I get the wavebox and one 6105 to start and get a second 6105 later or should I start with two 6105s and get the 6215 wavebox later and why?

While it would be nice to have them all at once this is not possible at this time.

Thanks for your time.

I would start with the pair of 6105s as the wavebox is more considered supplemental flow not primary. The directional flow is more important to move the water around the tank and you will have the ability to randomize it with these pumps on a controller.

I agree with Shawn, the tank is too large to recommend starting with 1 6105 and a 6215, I would start with two 6105 and add the 6215 down the road. The waveflow of the 6215 is useful for lifting detritus and a natural look, but the basics of a directional current have to be present.
