Help a friend sell a tank!

I have a friend who is not on RC, but looking to sell they're set-up. Guess my friend Marilea and her hubby want out of the hobby. I told her I'd post her tank to help out.

She of course would like the whole setup sold together. They gave me a contact number: 330-813-5816(Ron Ford)

Stating they have over 15,000 invested and asking 6,500. I have no pics but if you call Ron he could probably help.

Lights: Outer Orbit-3 150wMH w/4 96w 50/50 and 8 night time lights, Skimmer: Berlin Hungon up to 250gal. w/pump(new 2-9-2008), Sump: 2 pumps, 40 gal sump, wet/dry filter, 150 gal. glass tank w/built in overflows, with pine looking stand, Misc.: extra pieces, misc. parts. books, assorted chemicals, and food

Livestock:

Sohol Tang, yellow tang, purple tang, sailfin tang, morph tang, yellow striped maroon clown, midas blenny, red hawkfish, flame angel, decorator goby, yellow watchman, pink stripped goby, blue spotted jaw fish, 9 green chromis, spotted mandarin, and a green stripped mandarin along with 2 arrow crabs, 3 sea slugs, 4 cleaner shrimp, 2 fire shrimp, sally light foot, assorted hermits, golden dersa clam, and 3 serpent starts, Corals: pink yuma ricordia, green bubble anemone, hammer, frogspawn, leather, green favia, cluster of zooz, red brain, purple and blue arrow, red montipora, colt coral, assorted shrooms(red, blue, green w/stripes and green)

Good luck with the sale. Fish tanks are just as bad as computers. You put a lot of money into them at first. When you try to sell them, you don't get crap out of them. You will have better luck splitting the package up. Not many of us have an extra 6500 large laying around.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say there is now way you will get 6500 bucks for it, just part it out and accept the loss. Its just how it goes.

I have talked to Marilea, she and her husband are taking calls and writing down what people want. I've also been taking down pm's and sending out what they would like to her as well. I agree with all of you that to part it out is the best way to go.

Hey everyone, Marilea the gal who was selling her tank is decided to keep it for now, to make a long story short her husband has left her and she would like to keep the tank unless unable to care for it. I gave her everyone's name that was interested in items that way if she does sell she'll have them. Sorry for the inconvience, but I'm guessing the tank is sentimental value. I just hope she doesn't let it get out of control and then try to sell it.
