Mangroves are kool.
I agree, even step it up to the mj1200 since you have a fuge too. Its easy to make a venturi adapter (gets air into the pump for the skimmer) yourself. Wiz.

The pump I have now that is going is the maxijet 1200. I was able to find a rio600 with the Venturi adapter at aquarium adventures yesterday. But the adapter doesn't fit inside of the inlet tube like the maxijet does. It's literally a centimeter too big. Any suggestions? I was thinking of shaving off a little off the width of the adapter to get it started then press it in.

Could you get a better picture of that green algae on the rock. It looks like it might be some Bryopsis, for which the best if not only cure is to take the rock out otherwise it could overgrow the entire tank. People say Kent M is the cure, but it doesn't work for everybody, best bet is to take it out. Especially in a smaller tank that can't support a fish that eats it.

Which rock? I did a google search for it and I can't see anything in my tank that looks like it. If your talking about the further back picture of the whole tank that's chaeto. My Refugium wasn't setup in that picture and its now in my Refugium.

so yesterday I got to empty my first full collection cup from the refugium working... HOLY HELL! That was rancid! My mom didn't realize what I did in the bathroom and she told me to go to the DR! HAHA
