Shouldnt die after missing one feed. what kind of anem is it, how long have you had it, what do you feed, lighting, water parameters?

pink tip? a condy is it? everything seems fine, they are supposed to be white. mine was brown when i bought it and looked more like aptasia, it slowly recovered to a creamy off white. if its a cony you need to feed it fish every couple of weeks

White isn't a good sign. For hosting anemones white = bleached.

Really would be helpful if you could tell us what type of anemone you have, or better yet, a picture.

You fed it a feeder goldfish?

Should be worried about its color, more so then it being flat. Anemone do that from time to time when they are expelling waste.

Todd condy anems are supposed to be white! I'm assuming thats what he meant by pink tip.

No not feeder goldfish! dont feed those to anything. you can buy silversides or lance fish from aquatic stores. failing that use shrimp or mussels, oysters, scallops from a food store

That depends on the natural pigment of the anemone, but... a creamy, brown color. That is the natural color of the zoanx ( can never remember how to spell the symbiotic algae that lives inside photosynthetic anemones )

zooxanthellae, yes thats what i said in the first place, creamy off white. mine was brown when i bought it but it slowly turned whiter. it also grew huge and looks quite good now

I personally have never seen a HEALTHY condy, from south of North Carolina waters that was not a tan/cream/beige colour in appearance.

Only cold water anemones have got white in their natural pigmentation.

Todd is right on this one.

I have had many Condys through the years, all started off bleach white with pink or purple tips at the LFS. Then when I put them in my aquarium under better water conditions, good lighting and 2 or 3 feedings they always lose the bleached white color. The bases always turn brown and the tentacles always turn a cream color, but they do retain the pink/purple tips. They always get huge too, in circumference (5-6" diameter) and tentacle length (6-7" long). They are probably my favorite anemone, cheap and impressive when healthy, but bad for reef tanks with corals. Their sting is very powerful, almost as bad as a carpet. They are notorious for eating fish and Clowns, just like Carpets.

I SAID CREAMY OFF WHITE, mine started off as a horrible brown and now its CREAMY White. damnit i will post a picture. oh and its very healthy. Ive rescued many bleached anems so i know a little about them :P

Oh i meant that roughly. When most people see my condy they say "that white ones beautiful" why are we arguing about this!!
