HELP!!!!!! Angel not doing well!

I would run that on your sump for the DT for a while and allow the media to become colonized before tossing it on your QT. Best bet would be to add some LR rubble from your display or sump that's already "seeded".

You could run the whisper with a small amount of carbon to help remove the Prazi, but I wouldn't run any other "fresh" media in it (although you could place a bit of rubble in it).

Ok, will do, thanks. The tank already has about 10-15 pounds of rubble, but I'll add more to the filter for now until the media "cycles".

Thanks!

Very interesting thread...I have had my share of bad luck with some angels recently.

After a nice conversation with Copps I hope my process will be better and the fish will make it thru my QT....

Sam, how long has that water been in the QT? I did not realize you had no biological filtration on the QT... without this ammonia will build up very quickly... even adding rubble a power filter will not be ideal... If you want PM me your phone number and I could help as you're local... let me know bud...

I have had biological filtration in there, sorry if I didn't make it clear, but there's been about 10-15 pounds of LR in there since Thursday ( I think) and the tank had been "part" of the main system until Friday, when I turned the valve to take it off. PM sent.

Fish is in fresh (as in fresh salt) water now. Got the water changed last night, added the filter with LR rubble, and a small ph. The media is in the sump and I'll leave it there for another day or two before adding it. The fish is definitely out more, but not quite eating. I threw a couple more clams by the half shell in there, and didn't see it pick at them, but it's looking pretty thin. Any suggestions on getting it to eat, or what I should/can do if it doesn't eat?

Have you tried Hikari Spirulina Brine Shirmp? Mine go nuts for it but they will only eat a few pieces each per feeding so I try to add some every few hours because of their quick metabolism. They wont go for anything else except Hikari Mysis, but they are getting very plump now...

I've been using spirulina brine, not hikari though. I tried live blackworms about a week ago, nothing happened, but now they are no longer live... I'll try picking up some Hikari stuff this weekend.
