This is sad... multiple threads of yours asking for help.... a recent thread about lighting.... why do you even have an anemone already?

This hobby is about patience not lining chemical companies pockets with money so you can rush and kill things due to lack of experience and knowledge....

You really need to research more, then cycle a tank properly and start with low end hardie fish only... Not something that is sensitive to water quality and requires experience to survive...

Nothing good ever happens fast in this hobbie... if you cannot accept that then please reconsider... this is a commitment of taking care of animals lives... salt water tanks are not a slice of an ecosystem.... they are always on the verge of collapse and it is our job to keep them alive and "healthy".

Wow. Seriously at a loss for words with what you're doing clownfish. Asking for help in one thread and blatantly lying in another to CYA about your nems health? Like many said in your other post, start over but research more before you do. If you can't bite the bullet and do that, this isn't the hobby for you.

Seriously just get rid of that stubborn ego its not helping you. You have been told what was wrong you wont listen your searching high and low for someone to tell you what you want to hear but it wont happen. Your in the wrong.

Dude, come on man. I have been following your last thread. You don't have a display tank, your water is im sorry to say screwed!! You dumped so much chemicals in that water that it's done. Young tank needs months to be able to hold an anenome. I don't know what answers your looking for BTA's are hard to care for. And your not ready. I have 3 anenomes man and I would hate to see one needlessly dying because you choose to neglect it.

I don't mean to be offensive man, but what's the harm in returning the fish and anenome and giving it to the LFS to help it. At this rate, It will die. In this hobby we all make mistakes one way or the other. But being stubborn is a choice that you have made and that won't help you in this hobby.

I thought I was rushing when I got my first RBTA 5 months into my first tank. Take it back start completely over after you do some research and learn to listen to the people who want to help you

Research and learning is the reason most people do this hobby.
Also admiting we are wrong is a good thing especially when people are trying to help you.
Also the information you give is so vauge how can anyone ever help you. Plus when you think cloudy water is normal and throw a chemical in to sort it out just pack it in. If you were interested you would take reading every few days especially for the first few months and try to keep adding products to a minimum. Google is a great serch tool. you just have to type in what you want to learn and read it. Then if unsure you can always ask advise.

Maybe I am too new to this forum to offer my two cents but I couldn't agree more with this statement and maybe research and learning are the reason most people are successful in this hobby. I followed through this thread and saw a lot of sound advice and concern from members. While this is an amazing hobby to be in, it requires a whole lot of homework. If you are unwilling to research everything then you are almost certain to fail. I have been into saltwater for about 3 years and still consider myself a newb and believe it or not, I just purchased my first nem about 2 weeks ago. BUT, I have researched them for months ahead. I planned it's arrival by moving corals from the tank he is in to a frag tank to allow room for the nem to find its spot. And I thoroughly checked all parameters before introducing it. Then and only then did I begin my search for a healthy nem. I was very fortunate that I have a friend who happened to have a beautiful Rose bubble to sell at a very inexpensive price. Today, that nem is happy and healthy and looking very nice. I plan to give it a while to get situated before reintroducing some coral back to the tank. I credit my success to researching on forums like RC and others and just googling everything and anything I could find. Research, and then research some more and if you are still unsure, research it again.

Look Man I did the same thing initially I got a BTA almost 4 months in and it looked like crap I had no idea what I was doing and if showed as he kept getting worse and worse. These ppl on here are right 99% of the time. I filled there advice a few years ago and gave everything back to lfs and waited and waited and waited. This a very complex hobby and requires a lot of patience and diligence. I was stubborn and didn't listen at first I lost everything near 1000$ in just fish bot to mention the corals. Money aside it was sad they died needlessly because I could wait. Since that debacle I have been patient introducing small things at a time and watching them for weeks even months before even considering adding anything else. As they said man do you research.. Be patient and most of all enjoy Godspeed

? Why would you buy a anonome before rock and sand!!!!!!!!!!!! Rba go for 40$ plus w a clown $60 come on man you could have bought some supplies before experimenting on live animals.
Clown fish 123321- hear is what you need step 1 start over (the right way) and don't give up. Step 2 buy a book that explains how to set up a proper reef; step 3 buy the equipment first lights,heater,rock,sand,flow,FILTRATRATION, and a 1 year supply of salt. Step 4 set up the tank the right way and let it cycle.... (let the tank get cloudy it's normally bacteria forming in the water column that will drink fish **** and poop out nitrite and later turn into nitrate) chemicals like water clarifier aren't a cure in a reef tank chemicals are bad mmkay! Additives are good in the right water chemistry!
So study,study,study and plan, prepare and be PATIENT!
Watch ny stelo, Mr salt water tank, and some la fish guys for a month straight.

I agree with what you guys are telling him BUT....if he wants to buy 10 bta's and stomp on them and flush them in the toilet, there's no law against it. I have 9 tarantulas that are well cared for but there are people that would kill them instantly without a second thought. If he wants to keep a bta alive tho....

Really? Nobody said it was against the law but is it morally right to buy any animal that's sold as a "pet" to kill it?

Not to mention I think your missing the point of why people are responding the way they are? From what I've seen he's started multiple threads asking for help and not taking any advice? Not only that but also lying about certain things.
If you want to buy 10 bta's and kill them to flush them down the toilet I think RC is one of the last places you should be coming.
I don't think anyone that would want to kill your tarantulas would go to the pet store to buy them. If they had one crawling up their arm? Probably [emoji6]
