HELP! aussie acan in danger will robinson

I have a problem with an aussie acan frag i got yesterday
The polyps aren't fully opening up, and i can see the coral skeleton around each polyp
it looks like it's receded
i got a few other aussie acans in the sam shipment and theyre all doing very well
when i first got them in the tank i put them under vho 75W actinics only
today i turned on the other 75w 10k so only 150w total
i dont know if im just freaking out over nothing or if i should take some precaution now

Is there skeleton around each polyp?

i think i may have been too hasty on this
as i was looking a little closer there is tissue around the skeleton but its just sooo clear
then i went back to the site that i got them from and it looks just the same
i'm HOPING that it's alright then
ill post an update next week

It will be alright. I have gotten a lot of Acans where it receeded showing the skeleton but within a couple of days they grow back out and cover them back up.

hmmm.....it looks like its receding even more today and from one of the polyps theres some white string stuff coming out of it and i pretty sure its not waste
now im starting to worry
anyone know of anything i can do or is wait and see all i have?

Just wondering have you try giving it a coral dip?
Not sure would it help but might be worth a try....

Yeah, could try a Lugol's dip. Also, put it in some lower light, lower flow part of the tank and see if that helps at all.

ewww white thing on Acan= Not good. I had a frag that melted away when it developed white rings around the mouth. Keep an eye on it.

its in low flow and right now its under only actinics, the only thing lower would to go with regular flourescent actinics
i havent tried lugols dip cause i dont know whats up
for lugols, how much should i add per gallon and should i use tank water or ro?

I don't think any less light is going to help now.

This is where I get confused myself when I have acan issues. Isn't there a point where they are wanting more light than they are getting right now?

Do feeders come out at night?

TMPCC (that's what they call it around here I notice)--I've never used it personally. I am going to buy some this week.

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see the skeleton. Could be inexperience with acans, but I don't see what's wrong with them.

I think it is just stressed out....move it to an area with gentle flow and lower light...
