Can anyone help with this?
I bought a green BTA and he came yesterday. He was looking very rough when he got here
I acclimated him..his foot was starting to stick so I put him in the tank.
He never opened fully and today he looks horrible. It seems like he is falling apart.
I just put him in my hangon box because I am afraid he is dying.
My parameters are all great. I have LED lighting

Any advice?

It does look very bad.

What are water parameters compared to where it was from?

Was it shipped?

How long was the acclimation?

Is there anything else in the tank that was trying to host?

If it is falling apart then that's a sure sign to pull it. If it's not falling apart I would suggest getting some current on it. But with it's stomach out like that I'm afraid it's a goner. Unless having it's stomach out was temporary. Then its still bad off but it may be trying to acclimate. I woul keep it isolated especially from clownfish.

It was shipped overnight. I acclimated for about 6 hrs. Its foot was starting to stick so I put her in the tank. She was walking alittle bit.
I have two clowns but they didn't go near her. This morning she wasn't sticking anymore and she looks like is falling apart
The water in the hangon tank is getting murky around her
UGH!!!

One thing to keep in mind is they like flow. If it is too great it will move, but you want it to save it's energy right now for getting better. No feeding it.

Flow, offset, not direct would be good, That will let it wash away what ever it is trying to purge.

How bad was it looking compared to what it is now, when you brought it home.

Do you have a QT tank, spare heater, and power head? I think you need to separate it from the main water supply.

She is gone. Left for 2 hrs, came home and she is mush.
Thankfully I had her out of my main tank
She was in really rough shape when I opened the box yesterday
After acclimating she still hadn't opened but her foot was trying to stick.
I had her in a perfect spot in the tank for flow. She moved about a quarter inch and was sticking but she spit out her stomach.
That was late last night. This morning she was no different....got worse as the day went..

Sorry to hear that.

Where did you get it from? If you do not mind me asking, you may want to PM it to me.

Did you contact the seller and advise them?

Sorry to read your Nem didn't make it, but I think you went overboard on the 6hr acclimate. I'm not saying that's the reason it perished, it was probably in bad shape due to the shipping process.. But for future reference, I'd do 1hr tops on bubble tip acclimation.

The only reason I had acclimated that long is because I had her in quarantine because she didn't arrive well. I didn't want to put her in my tank.

Acclimate 30 mins max.

+1. I think there is never a need or good idea to acclimate 6 hours. Especially after it has been shipped overnight with depleted O2 water and possibly ammonia. In your case If anemone was falling apart when you received there was most definitely ammonia in bag.

Most of the time with my shipments I float for 15 min and do acclimation for another 15 -20 min. Rather get them in tank water ASAP. I dump half Solo cup every 5 min or so.

If your getting from LFS that is different story since only bagged most of time within the hour and it can handle loner acclimation. Even still I usually only acclimate for 30-60 min when buying from LFS.

sorry for you loss. Maybe contact seller?? Refund??

Yep..they gave me a credit to my account with them for future purchases.
She was a goner when I opened the box. Still gave it a good try to get a response out of her but it wasn't happening.

I had unhealthy nems from that place...never again. Sorry it didn't make it :( my store-purchased nems have always done well, but shipped ones from reefs2go always looked bad when I received them.

Agreed. I have gotten pods from them and was very happy. I also have gotten snails and fish and snails were bagged in about shot glass of water. Stunk to high heaven and all but 1 snail DOA. also a tiger watchman goby DOA. although they do refu d for amounts livestock with no problem your still out shipping costs.

I got a bubble tip nem from my LFS yesterday and it is doing very well! YAY!
I wish he would have had one last week....I would never have ordered one on-line.
