My BTA split about a month ago and was looking good up until 4 days ago. His tenacles are getting dark and they aren't'' plumped up like they were. I don't know if maybe the clown was "loving" to much. I seperated the clown from them. I have had the BTA for about 3 1/2 months. He just isn't looking well at all. I feed him 2X a week. He eats a very small piece of fish or shrimp. This is my 1st bta and I don't know what to do to help him. thanks in advance Also will the clown be okay without the bta?

Doesn't look bad to me...BTAs have been known to lose their bubbles for reasons we don't really understand. The darker coloration isn't a bad sign...that's just the pigmentation being more concentrated since it's not bubbled.

None of the pictures look like it's in dire trouble to me. The clown will be fine without the BTA, but I'm not sure that you've got anything to worry about.

Hopefully someone else will pop in and either confirm, or will see something I'm not and you'll get the help you need.

I don' seen any problems either, It looks fine to me.

But it wouldn't hurt to check your NO3, PO4. When was the last time you did a pwc? How long have you had the lights? (do the bubls need to be replaced?)

General questions, Like I said it looks fine to me.
