Help - Bubble Tip Dead?

Hi,
My Bubble Tip Anemone is still hanging on upside down on a rock but isn't expanding and looks like some flesh is coming off by the tentacles. Dumb question but can it be dead and still attached to the rock (upside down)? don't have my camera here to take pics...

Ok - I pulled it off the rock and put it in a cup - took a wiff and it did not stink so I put it back in the tank. Still some small pieces of flesh have fallen off but it's still intact and not smelling so I'm assuming alive for now. Any ideas what's going on?

Pulling it off of the rock was probably not the best idea. I've learned the hard way, that anemones do best if left alone. If watched threads on here about people basically pestering the things to death.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but my only advice is to let it be, and post a picture as suggested.

pics really are needed but i agree that you should lave it be as mauch as possible but keep an i on it and if it does apear to b disinagrating i would chalk it up as a loss as they can release pretty bad stuff in your tank when they do go causing tons of problems...good luck
