Help choosing protein skimmer

I got some ideas for a sump yesterday. It got me thinking maybe I should get a new skimmer while I'm at it. Put it in the sump. I have a 55 gallon tank w/ 75# of rock. currently I'm using a Red Sea Prism Pro. It was given to me. Sometimes it seems like its working great or times it just doesn't foam good enough. Other times I walk away and come back and the collection cup is filled to the brim, spewing every where. I could keep complaining about it, but I won't. So what do you think would be a good size skimmer for my tank? I know bigger is better. Just need some direction please. Thanks

An ASM G-1X would rock on your setup.

I just bought an ASM G2 for my 50gal, I too had a red sea prizm got tired of always adjusting it. I really like my ASM , very easy to adjust and pulls out way more skimate then my old prizm.The only draw back is it takes alot of room up in your sump. Size wise you could probably go with a G1 but I figure for an xtra 20$ get the G2 if you have room. I got mine from Premium aquatics they have foot print size and height right on their websight.
