60 gallon 36x18x22 high. 20 G sump, Aquamaxx cone s co-1 in sump, no corals for now

(2) Pearly jawfish, added first with 2-6" sand bed
- tail spot blenny
- orange strip goby with pistol shrimp
- black cap basslet
- mystery Wrasse(small)
- Trochus and scarlet hermit, nassarius for cuc. (how many each do you think?)
- maybe 2 large cleaner shrimp and 1 blood shrimp, 1 emerald crab

I realize Mystery can get more aggressive with age.

What is likelihood Mystery will kill specified cuc and shrimp, particularly pistol shrimp?

Would my fish bioload be tapped out at this point?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

The jawfish might be uncomfortable with the goby. Could be fine. They use the same territories and I have read about gobies stealing the jawfish burrows. Black cap basslet, while very pretty, can be aggressive in my research. I would
Look into grammas and assessors instead. A lot of the fish in your list stick to the rocks and sand, I would think about adding some open water swimmers or the tank may look pretty empty.

Thank you. If I took out the BC basslet, can you suggest an open water swimmer that might go well with the rest of the group?

Cardinals, chromis, flasher wrasses, canthigaster puffers( Valentini, blue spot, but shrimp and cuc are at risk), Midas blenny, fire fish, possibly a dwarf angel as last addition. I would look into wrasses though if it were me. Mccoskers, solorensis fairy

Make sure your sand is deep for jawfish and a Midas or bicolor blenny would be a very peaceful cool first addition, make sure you add the goby and shrimp early in the order so they can establish their territory before more aggressive fish come into play

I want a leopard toby or valentini, but was concerned whether he would stress the jawfish, since I keep reading peaceful tank mates are best??

If there is good chance it could work, I would love to have one.

I plan 6-7" in two desired areas of the tank, but not 6-7" the entire tank?

If I put in a valentini or leopard toby, do you have any idea whether the toby or a mystery wrasse will be problematic for the jawfish?

Will Midas and jawfish do okay together since they have similar shapes?

Every Toby puffer I have had has been very peaceful with other fish, no issues ever. But cuc will need to be replaced as they are on the menu. It's not as bad when they are well fed, but if they don't get a lot of meaty foods then your snail
Population will suffer. It's worth it for me though. If you want shrimp, introduce the shrimp first and let them get well established before the puffer, but be prepared to lose them at some point. And get a small one to start.
I have a blue spot jaw and a Midas in qt together right now and they are fine together so far. I don't anticipate having issues with them together
