IMO, the color doesn't matter, what you need to pay attention to is filtering capacity. I do like how that add says the white filters catch too much... heaven forbid our filter pads are doing what their designed to do, catch the debris. I do like to buy bulk rolls versus pre-packaged but that ad. isn't enough to make me think their pinkies are better than joe shmoe down the street selling filter pads. I'm always leary when someone just says "trust me" without providing evidence or actual numbers (other than the size of the roll lol) But I could be wrong about them, maybe that's the next best thing to hit the fish market, then again, maybe it's standarized filter material in a different color. And is it just me or does the "comments" about the product look like something they just added into their page versus and actual comments submitted to ebay from buyers. At least he's got a decent seller rating ^^
just to confuse you a tad more, theirs also other options for filter media as well, such as polyfiber filter pads, phosphate pads, ect. ect. ect. How's your tank doing with what you currently use? water quality good? clear? parameters all okay? Even with my skeptisism, the price is cheap enough I'd probably test em out once if i were looking on ebay for filter material. But I've never had issues with my blue/white stuff so if it ain't broke... hopefully someone else chimes in who's actually used those and can give first hand experience feedback for you.
