Help dog face changed black over night HELP

Hi I have a dog face puffer that has clearly changed colors literately overnight right now the only thing in the tank with him is A clown fish a turbo snail and a chocolate chip starfish which have been in the tank with him the whole time and has never shown any real problems except for when I woke up today and he was completely black with a white outline around his tail. I know dogface puffer change colors naturally in the wild but I do not know if this is normal with the drastic color change. If someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. I want to say thank you in advance for any help!!
