Help feeding BTA

Hi all,

Last week I bought two A.polymnus and a BTA. Few people point out that the BTA is bleached which I agree. Since then I try to feed it but it is not eating. It seams like it is opening ok and attached well. The color also is getting greener but I do not see it eating if I try to feed it, it holds the food for few minutes then drops it out. Any suggestions.

Thanks for all the help.

I never could get mine to eat krill, it eats prime reef. So I agree, try something else.

I tried primereef and formula one cubes I might need to buy some silver side and try that. Any other suggestions.

All my anemones really like Aqua Yum clams. There are no bones or shells as far as I know. I like to alternate what I feed them with that, cut up saltwater silversides and cut up krill.

I feed silversides chopped into a couple pieces and soaked in selcon. Works great for me, my rbta loves it and has been growing like mad. Good luck.

My rbta's love silversides, they reject shrimp though. You may need to experiment a bit to find out what yours like.

unless you live on the coast, it's hard to get fresh shrimp. even the stuff at the deli counter has preservatives. They contain sodium tripolyphosphates, now i'm not totally sure what that is but i don't want it in my tank ( or even me probably ). make sure you check the label and get the uncooked ones.

Trader Joes is a great place to get non-preserved fresh shrimp :). My BTA ate whatever I threw at it lol. I fed it silver sides the most though he really really liked those (slight shudder and quick consumption upon contact). He seemed to tolerate the shrimp in comparison lol.
