HELP Frogspawn

I decided a few minutes ago that i wanted to take the huge glob of glue off from the base of my frogspawn to promote new growth...Well i ended up cracking a small portion of the frogspawns stem and he is seriously not happy. he made a ton of mucus in the tank, Im not sure if he is gonna die or not, but he turned a super dark color and is not looking good right now.
Is this a death sentance for frogspawns or is he likely to bounce back? also how long for him to attach himself to the rock?

If it is the skeleton below the fleshy tissue.try to piece it together and super glue it. But try not to glue the flesh if you can help it.should bounce back..as long as it doesnt get infected. You could also dip it after you glue it to help.
