HELP! Fungia Plate Coral!

Dog Trainer
So, picked this up in an attempt to try and revive it.
Wanted to get peoples opinions on whether they thought this could come back or not?
Any advice as far as what to do with it?

This photo is 30minutes after being placed in my tank and it already looks better then the tank it was in.

Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions! Motivation & a tiny prep rally for this guy would be awesome as well! Hah

I'm no expert but I'd target feed him some Selcon on a little filter food like Zoplan. Otherwise just good water quality and leaving him alone. When was the last time he had meaty food?

I'm going to guess they never fed it directly.
I gave it a bit of brine (yes I know, no real value) about 2 hours after I put it in the tank. It seemed to latch on to it, but not sure if it actually ate.

I'll post an updated picture tomorrow, hopefully it'll look better.

Try some mysis. It doesn't look great, but it looks a lot better than some pieces I've rescued. Good luck, I think your chances are good!

The tentacles are still extended...partially. So thats good. I see lots of skeleton though and that would worry me. However, it does not look beyond repair by any stretch. Like others said, feed it meaty foods and keep the water quality excellent. In a few months it should be good as new.

Edit: Incase you didn't know, you have a Heliofungia actiniformis, long tentacle variety.

Oh wow, it looks amazing now. Congrats! Keep it up man, it's not done yet but at least your can stop worrying how. Btw definitely a heliofungia after that pic lol.

It seems to be going down hill... I see heads/tentacles? falling off here and there.
Could it be part of the healing process? Half the heads will be extended and the middle will be deflated and sad looking.
