Help getting zoa to stay on plug

Is there a trick to getting zoas to stay on the frag plug? I have a group I have tried glueing down several times and they keep coming off.

If there's even the tinyest piece of sand or coralline still attached, they should stick easy. Try to scrape something off with your blade as you frag them. If there's nothing attached, just barely polyps nothing, you can still make it work with lots of glue. They'll be ****ed off for a while and some may not make it. Only time I've had it not work at all, the zoas were so traumatized to begin with, they just kept slimming up and sloughing off, and eventually died.

Make sure to dry the base of the coral a little bit with a towel before gluing the coral to the plug. leave it out of the water for several minutes before putting it back into the cup of tank water. Making sure the glue is dried before putting the corals back into the tank and leave it in a low flow area at first.

It's all about letting the glue or adhesive cure before placing the coral onto the plug. Letting it sit for a few minutes to harden or dipping into water helps.

It does make it stickier and take less time to grab onto the zoas. Also at least try and get some of the mat the zoas lay down into the glue.
