help green and red stringy algee taking over my tank

over the past 3 to 5 day green and red long hair stringy algee has takin over all the live rocks in my tank as well as my frags and sand what should i do step buy step is there any sure fire way rid the algee any advice would be great thanks steve

Possibly cyanobacteria.

They make a product called chemi- clean that will kill the bacteria, that is caused from over feeding. It will take about 4-5 days to kill most of it. good luck.

get a lawnmower blenny. Mine keeps my tank trimmed rather nicely.
