Help!!! How to get rid of dozens of tiny limpets?

I wasn't worried at first when I saw them, but they definitely are eating my GSP. Saw some on it at lights out and the next morning the area was paper thin. Few days go by and a lot of the GSP is missing.

I'm worried they will go after my more previous corals.

I have a lot of those. I don't have soft coral, so they're not a problem---otoh I've never heard of them being a problem. They breed in my sump and dt, and are very good cleaners. On the other hand, they don't run very far or fast, and they can be removed with a dull razor. Just pop them into your sump fuge and let them work there.

Maybe a small Mantis can help you out? The smaller ones would love to eat Limpets. Also, some Wrasses eat them as well.

Yup
My mantis absolutely loves limpets.
Although im sure most people would rather have some limpets than a mantis running around in their tank lol.

Correct.....and I have never heard of them spawning and growing in a reef tank.....keyholes are sought after...I get requests every week....the ones we have locally here in the gulf don't mess with corals...so most likely yours are an imported type. Strange it took so long for them to show up if there were no additions for years...

I know this thread is a little old but I came across it trying to identify what I believe are limpet snails as well in my reef. I must have 100's in my refugium but rarely see them in the main display. It wasn't too long that I saw my yellow corris wrasse and leopard wrasses picking these little guys off the walls whenever they appeared. They must be a tasty snack because I rarely see them in the display even when the lights are off.

I can't be 100% sure this is standard behavior, but if you like wrasses it is worth a shot to see if they will eliminate limpets should they not be desired.
