Help - I overdosed Calcium

I found my calcium dosing pump stuck on today and calcium had jumped from 400 - 500ppm. Does a calcium swing that fast cause problems to my SPS tank?

shouldnt be too bad... just monitor everything. If stuff starts to change for the bad. Do a small 10% water change, But i think you should be ok.

500 is not too bad. Unless you start getting precipitation just allow it to come down normally. Even if you get precipitation it won't harm anything and will resolve itself.

agreed, it's nothing to be terribly worried about. Watch the coral response closely for the next couple days, but I'd be surprised if you have any long-term (or even short-term) issues.
