what for flow do you have on him cause with mine, he will move around the tank and if he finds a place he likes with no flow he shrinks up quite a bit and as far as the string goes it is probably waste and i would remove it but you dont have to. and how often do you feed him cause his mouth looks like it is open quite a bit
