Help ICH killed my DT

So the short of it, ich killed all the fish in DT except for a huma trigger. Ofcourse the turbo snails, decorater crab, hermit crab and anomonea and fine.
My question is, if i leave the tank as is for 10 weeks, wil the ich die off or will it constanly reinfect the trigger.

You could have used IchX. Works on reef tanks from my experience.

The trigger will act as a host for Ich, while it's in the DT. I would get it into a HTtreat it, and then let the DT lay fallow for 10 weeks.

I think the generaL consensus on this stuff is that its bunk. Your only choice is to put the trigger in hospital tank, treat for ich, and leave display fallow for 10 weeks. Other than that its a matter of time b4 it happens again.

i have a 90 g tank and pull everything from my sump and put in tank except the skimmer. so that 300 gph thru uv and 300 thru top fin 75. gives me a true 900 gallon filtation. any other ideas?

No, I always prefer to use UV against bacterial infection, but UV has no effect on ich.

When there is no bacterial infection, I can be rather certain in eradicating ich.

There is a practical link between UV and ich, but UV has no impact directly on ich.

You also have to actively treat the trigger while it is kept separately. You should actively treat the trigger against ich, to eradicate it on the fish and the water the fish is in, while you also wait for the fallow period in DT to expire.

+1 to what's been said. Read through the stickies on treatment methods for ich and decide which is best for you.

I agree with about everyone just because I'm in that "nice guy" sort of mood today. There is NO reef-safe cure. UV cannot cure ich (it has its uses, though). I don't think these two points are even debatable anymore.

Since most of your fish have died, there is likely excess nitrification bacteria in DT.

This COULD be used as a means to support the lone survivor, the trigger, in QT.

But you have to consider whether the excess bacteria can be effectively transported into QT. First, can u do so without including many lives that will die to decay. Second, if you used copper, the cooper will deposit on it. The consequence is debatable.
