Help ID my Clams

Hi,
so far got 4 2 of which were already IDd as probably maxima and one might be either a Maxima or Squamosa... Basically I'm more interestetd in Identification methods.

1 This is my oldest clam in the tank (around 3 months now) as usuall it does not open more than this and was told that some clams just won't open to their max. Was already ID'd as probably maxima so I'm presuming it is?

2 2nd clam I got, the smallest one(less than 2 inches) in the group yet the best colour of all 4 I'm assuming maxima too? Its on a bigger flat rock so the shell does not show much. It also has the most mantle extension. it is the only marine cultured clam in the tank.

3 third one I got largest of them all. has a rather turquoise colour, Guess also maxima

4 Last one I got. and probably the reason for my confusion. it's supposed to be either a maxima or a squamosa. it's shell has a different shape than the other 3 whish are similar. the schell curvatures are much more pronounced and extend longer than the others. however it does not have tentacles on the inhalent siphon? I thought a squamosa would have tentacles on the siphon? could it be the only maxima of the four and in that case what are the other 3?

Thanks for any help you can give on ID.
Other than that all 4 seem to be happy, opening up as soon as the light goes on, reacting well to shadows... however I'm wondering if there are other things to check for? as they are not really old in the tank and I'm planning a few more. do clams show signs of stress as soon as something is wrong or do they just show it before dying?
Tank is 150 G 24 inches high only and 4-5 inches DSB so it is rather shallow. my lighting is:
1 250 W MH giesemann 22 K in the middle.
2 150 W MH Arcadia on the sides. they are still on the sand bed between the middle and RT side so getting light from 1 250 W 22k and 1 150 W 14 K
I also have 1 80 W white T5 and two 54 W actinic T5 by Arcadia.
will be switching to 10 Ks at least for hte 150 W on the sides.
Do you think I sould be bringing them higher or just to keep them on the sand bed. I was told earlier that if they are opening fine to let them be however If I am to get newer ones some have to go higher and better the older ones than the new ones directly so is there any one in the group that need specifically more light?

first 3 maxima and the last squammie and i see the tentacles, look again. nice clams :)

yes i would move the maxima's up, the squammie is fine.

When clams are very stressed or dying they will gape open, i must say closeing a little is not the worse thing that can happen.

And showing movement when a hand is passed over it.

I did see those tentacles but thought they're much less prnounced than the first 3 and didn't think they would count.
