Thanks for the help!

weird, I just saw that same thing in the display tank at my LFS and they had no idea either.

that's a pretty big jump. how do you know it will eat coral? can you ID it down to species? if it is indeed a nudi, they may eat anything. some eat algae, others eat sponge, bryozoans, gorgonians, etc. there's a nudi made to eat just about anything in the ocean.

looking at the antennae and the rounded frilly appearance, it looks (to me) like it may be Cypraea moneta, the money cowrie, which is a great algae eater.

also resembles the zoo eating nudi's. i wouldn't take a chance with it. get it out unless you can confirm it is a cowrie.

The first shot made me think it was a Snake head Cowrie snail, which is a great algae eater. I have many in my tank and when they put their slime around their shell, that's exactly that mine looks like. Slimy with lots of little tenticle/thingies sticking out. Does the thing retractt he slime on the back when you touch it? See if it does, and if it does, I would leave it in.

Here's what a cowry looks like with his hood over his shell.

Here's the site the pic came from with more info on cowry snails.

nooooooo dont take it out. its not a zoa eating nudi, not even close! and i would know b/c i've dealt with them before.

nudi's dont have a "foot" that looks like a snail.

its definitely a cowrie. they are good to have, and hard to come by!

edit: if you are still sure/unsure its a zoa eating nudi, post this in the zoa forum where some defacto experts who deal with them on a regular basis can chime in.

definitely a cowrie...not a nudi...not even close

Looks like Berghia, aipitasia eating nudis. Keep an eye on it and check around your corals base and check for eggs. They multiply like crazy. Best bet would be to isolate it in something.

Hope this helps-Mike

Sorry, flushing is extreme. I would take it out until you ID it though. That will allow you to get good pics of it from different angles. I can't see a shell, but it may be hidden. If it has a shell, not a nudi. No shell, not a cowrie. You can get lots here on nudis and more: http://www.seaslugforum.net/general.cfm#aquarium_faqs_(including_pests_and_hitchhikers_on_live_rock)
Also you could post in one of the expert forums here on RC with some good pics.

Take it out. They eat zoos.

I have seen them on my zoos before and I had a whole tank with zoos in it and they started decresing once these gusy showed up.

I am not lieing.
