just need a little help with an id. the flesh which cannot be seen in this photo is bright pink.

Eddie is a fasciolariid, in the family with the Tulip Snails and Horse Conchs. He should be a snail eating machine. Your snail is probably the Florida/Caribbean species Leucozonia nassa:

thanks so much! i did start to notice that everytime i saw it he was on top of another snail leaving just the shell behind shortly after.
