Help ID please.

I have a couple of things I need help identifying please. One is a couple of pretty cool looking "heads" of something. Shrooms maybe? They hitchhiked in on a rock with my leather I bought a while back. The other is some ugly sponge looking things.

Sponge looking green thingy's.

The first should be a sponge --> Carteriospongia vermifera
The second should be a anemone. I think it is a "real" Stichodactyla tapetum. Not the minmax.

Well, I paid attention when I fed the tank and they both closed up immediately like they caught something then opened back up.

Got the leather at a lfs in New Orleans. Had the others for a while.

Those anemones, good or bad?

Hmm, difficult to say. In some tanks they spread relatively quickly and in others not realy. In my tank not, but they have potenzial to spread to a "pest". Keep them in mind.

those look like mini carpets to me as well..i bought 4 about 5 years ago and easily have 60 in my tank now. i wouldnt call them a "pest" but they do multiply rather quickly. most online sites sell them for anywhere between $25 and $50 a piece. nice score!

Not realy a pest. That is why i wrote it with "".

You mean the Minmax carpet anemones, but i belive, this is not one of them. That´s probably the realy Stichodactyla tapetum (size max. 2")
MinMax-Anemones probably a Stichodactyla sp. (size round about 6")
