A gorgonian is like a sea fan: it eats from the water---I think it uses phytoplankton, and its polyps can be one color while its body is another. Some feed only at night. They're rated fragile, and they're not quite a soft coral. If I were keeping them, I'd observe the standard for lps/sps water, [cal 400-420, ph 8.3, alk 8.3, salinity 1.025, temp 80ish] and try to avoid any nitrate or ammonia whatsoever.
