help id these things

i saw them last night. sorry for the blurry pics but my cheap camera does not have a macro shot. you cant tell, but they have almost a hairy like skin with a little opening at the end. they are attached hanging from the rock. They remind me of a caterpillar cacoon almost.

Some type of sponge. Maybe a Pineapple sponge?
