Any idea what this guy is. He's from the Gulf Coast of Florida. I found him at my boat dock. Any thought as to why kind of Blenny/goby the little guy is?
Yup, Toadfish. Opsanus tau. Not a blenny or goby, but a cool (if ugly) ambush predator. Will eat anything that moves that is not larger than it. Get fairly large, up around a 12".
Cool. Thanks. Must be a little baby. The kids have already named him "popcorn" so I'll have to get him his own species tank. Don't want him to eat anything $$$.
