Help ID this Crab?

He is pretty cool looking, about the size of a quarter Not sure if it would be safe in my cube? Right now I put him in my sump away from any fish and shrimp.

He does not look like a very nice guy. I would not put it in your tank, you will most likely be asking for trouble if you do. Looks like a gorilla crab, very nasty little buggers.

Good thing you removed him, he is a bad guy and if gotten the chance would take out the shrimp, crabs, snails etc.

I just had a crab that looked very similar to that take out my Mantis shrimp

mantis was just a wee little baby under 2 inches.

Maybe putting him in my fuge is a bad idea? I have quite a few snails and hermits in there. I guess I will have to put him in my 210 display and let my puffer have him as an appetizer
