I found a random coral attached to my macro algea today. I don't know anything about corals and was wanting to know if it was a good find, and how to keep it alive.

best picture i could get. It is a reddish color with red testicles and a indent in the center?

No they reproduce quickly, sometimes when they sense danger or when your jabbing them with tweezers and they release aptasia/majano magic juice and more will sprout.

They grow near or between corals and sting them to death and rarely could sting a fish. Most fish aren't that foolish to get near it.

It is in my sump right now,It has been in my main tank for a while before i noticed. If it is by its self and contained would it be beneficial to the tank?

It is thrown away, was hoping it was a good find hopefully better luck next time
. Thank you very much for the help
