It looks a bit like a barnacle, if it has a little 'radar dish' fan that comes out of it. Nice, if it is.
 
I think it is either a nutibranch or a chiton. I have had both nutibranchs and chitons that looked very similar to this. They can almost appear to be a shadow if they don't move. The chiton will have a oval flattened half-shell on its back. Both have a flowing mantle type body like a snail or a slug. All of the chitons I have had eat algea and not coral. The midnight black nutibranchs (which my dad nicknames "The Shadow") also only ate algae. We have seen them rarely over the last ten years in multiple systems and suspect that they are reproducing.
