Help identifying strange creature...

This claw like thing has shown up in my tank. It opens and closes on the right side and hasn't moved from its current lication. Any ideas what it might be?

That's a harmless filter feeding bivalve (clam)

Right, an Ark Clam (family Arcidae). Some of them can detach and move if they don't like their situations, but most of them don't.

Thank you guys. I had just moved all my live rock around the day before to catch my two triggerfish who needed to be treated for fluke. I must have made the clam unhappy.
